My Interests

1.I am really interested in travel. Because my father was in the Air Force, I lived overseas when I was younger. My family and I gained a bigger appreciation for different cultures and the history some cites have to offer. Traveling takes me out of the norm and I like the sense of adventure I feel while I am somewhere unfamiliar. It helps me feel more responsible because I have to get myself to certain areas, often when I am alone, and with all of my things. It is because of this interest I want to major in European Studies with a minor in French.

2.I am interested in doing outdoor activities. I enjoy spunking, river rafting, hiking, tubing, ice climbing, camping and sometimes cliff jumping. Many of these things are really intimidating and the adrenaline and sense of accomplishment really make the experiences worthwhile. I also enjoy being outdoors to appreciate Heavenly Father's beautiful work. Outdoor activities also help me stay fit so I feel it is worth my time.

3.I like to learn about history. Old artifacts, cites, stories and civilizations have always interested me because they have a sense of mystery in them. When I was younger I used to love to make up stories to entertain myself. Learning about history always made me come up with more ideas for my stories. The love for history I learned when I was little carried on to recent times. I still like to think about different times, places and cultures. I have to say though I do not like learning about it in school, I would much rather do it on my own time.

4.I love to be in plays. Again it is the sense of accomplishment that makes it worthwhile. There is so much work that needs to be put in to be in a play including making sets, memorizing lines, going to practice every weekday and sometimes Saturday too for months, etcetera. The knowledge that my audience liked what I did is amazing. I also like the adrenaline rush that comes when I am on stage in front of a large audience.

5.Finally I also like meeting new people. Growing up, I went to five different elementary schools, so meeting new people was a necessity for me. I love being able to reinvent myself with every person that I meet. I like being able to have many friends within different groups. I am not a follower so I never just hang out with one group or type of people. I like having the freedom of having many friends in all cliques.

Maybe you could write about the different environments in the places you've lived. The different landscapes and just the condition of the environment. Did the environmental issues differ between Europe and America?

You could also talk about how the environment has changed over the course of history. I'm sure we weren't worried about global warming 200 years ago. What did we worry about back then?

wow, i like how you like the outdoors a lot.
well i think you could incorporate traveling, the outdoors and history with the environment really easily.

traveling could be something about keeping the environment clean and taken care of for tourists and people that enjoy them.

Well the outdoors would be the same type of thing, or something about having a healthy and fit body to be able to do sports like that.

finally history, you could just talk about how it is possible for us now to see history through nature and the environment around us and all of that is possible thanks to people that take care of it and do research to find ways to keep the environment clean for others.

-hope this kind of helps to find a topic for your paper.
